The following ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ provide answers to the majority of questions I get asked, but if there is something else you would like to know please send me a message via my Contact page >
Homeopathy is a natural holistic form of medicine which uses specially prepared, highly diluted substances with the aim of stimulating the body’s own healing mechanisms.
Homeopathy is perfectly safe. This is because Homeopathic remedies are made from incredibly tiny amounts of the active ingredient. Homeopathy has been used for over 200 years so there is plenty of anecdotal evidence and clinical trial research to show its safety in both humans and animals. Another plus point for Homeopathy is its non-addictive and has no dangerous side-effects. Homeopathy is safe for everyone including babies, pregnant or breast feeding women and the elderly under the supervision of a homeopath.
Homeopathy can be used alongside conventional medicine. You should always continue to take any prescribed medication unless directed otherwise by the Doctor who placed you on them.
Every individual is unique and as such its impossible to answer this question as people come with a huge range of different symptoms. On average I expect to see improvement in symptoms within 3-4 consultations. However, if you have a chronic health issue that you have been suffering with for years then this is likely to potentially take longer to improve. Patience is needed in cases like this while we work together allowing your system to heal at its own pace.
Yes there are many Health Insurance companies who will reimburse the cost of homeopathic treatment within an annual allowance. This varies from company to company so it’s definitely worth calling your Health Insurance company to find out whether they provide this as part of their cover.
Homeobotanical Remedies were developed in the early 1980s by Dr Brian Murray in New Zealand. After years of experimentation and observation he produced a range of powerful, synergistic blends of Organic herbs in liquid form, potentised and selectively chosen to target the organs and systems in the body.
They cover a comprehensive range of health conditions both acute and chronic, affecting both physical and emotional symptoms. I have found these blends very useful to use alongside Homeopathic treatment when a client needs something more ‘physical’ to help alleviate symptoms in the short term whilst waiting for the body to gradually rebalance during Homeopathic treatment.
Examples include using an Allergy blend during Hayfever season as the best time of year to treat Hayfever is during the winter months and using the Menopausal blend to alleviate distressing symptoms like Hot Flushes while the body is gradually brought into better hormonal balance Homeopathically over a longer period of time.
I currently only prescribe these blends to existing clients in the UK at a Fee of £25 including postage.
